The 2026 Exponential big idea, Multiplier: It’s In You, emphasizes becoming a healthy disciple who develops leaders focused on reproduction and growth.

Announcing the GLR Chaplains Division Cohort

The Chaplains Division is a new cohort that will serve the GLR Chaplain population in our Regional Family. The purpose is to create a group for Chaplains, Pastors who also serve as Chaplains, and students who are in Chaplaincy training, or anyone considering the field of Chaplaincy work. This is a space to ask questions, mentor and be mentored, engage in learning opportunities, and more! Open Enrollment for Voluntary Dental and Vision Insurance

Did you know that the Great Lakes Region offers voluntary dental, and vision plans as a benefit to every employee at each of our churches? You do not need to be full-time to qualify; anyone can join.

The open enrollment period for new participants is January 1 – 23, 2026 with coverage beginning February 1st, 2026.

Our dental insurance is through Delta Dental, and our vision insurance is through DeltaVision (a partnership between Delta Dental and Vision Service Plan (VSP)). Delta Dental and DeltaVision offer exceptional coverage with a wide range of participating doctors. Both are PPO plans, which means people in Illinois, Michigan, and Wisconsin can all participate. You just need to make sure that the doctors you see are “in-network.” You can find in-network doctors on the Delta and VSP websites here and here !

If you decide to join, simply fill out the enrollment form and ACH payment set-up form (also found on our website) and return those to Shari Brown within the open enrollment window. Monthly premiums, beginning on Feb. 1, 2026, are:

Vision

Single coverage $6.74

Couple coverage $13.48

Family coverage $21.72

Dental

Single coverage $41.46

Couple coverage $79.63

Family coverage $156.76

Since vision and dental plans are outside the realm of health care reform, churches can choose to pay for these premiums for their employees as a non-taxable fringe benefit. However, churches are not required to pay the premiums. Unless your church offers this as a benefit, you will be expected to personally pay for the premiums monthly. All participants in our plans are required to pay via ACH withdrawal. The withdrawal for February premiums will be deducted from your specified account on Thursday, January 29th. After January, monthly payments will be withdrawn from your account on the 18th of each month.
