Albany's Free Shower & Homeless Outreach Program!

As most are aware, homelessness in the Bay Area is a growing tragedy in our midst! Many of us feel helpless to do anything to help. Thankfully, the city of Albany has been very active to develop multiple programs to help provide care for those homeless individuals within our reach!

Every Friday, the Diverse Housing Working Group, Albany's homeless coalition, comes together to run the city of Albany's Free Shower program. This also includes making free sandwiches to be handed out to homeless individuals on the street as well to those participating in the free shower program. This group also meets at our church once a month to envision larger solutions to the homelessness problem.

Would you like to help? Please check out the link below for days and times and specific tasks where help is needed to keep Albany's free programs available to those in need!

For more information about the program, you can also visit the DHWG website . Also, feel free to contact Doris Lock, our own representative to the shower program, by emailing us at [email protected] !
