New Hayes and Octavia Shared Spaces off to healthy start for businesses and neighbors

Hayes and Octavia streets welcomed outdoor shoppers and diners last weekend as part of the City's Shared Space Program. The closed streets were a welcome addition for community-serving businesses, local residents, cyclists, skateboarders and even Casper the Cockatoo.


Event organizers: Hayes Valley Neighborhood Association, Supervisor Dean Preston's Office and the Civic Center CBD provided logistical support and graciously thank the organizers of Valencia Street's Shared Spaces program for their support and guidance.
