​IMPD Annual Community Day

If you live, work, or play in South Indy, then your are invited to the IMPD Service District Community Day. IMPD Community Days are fun days with free food, prizes and takeaways from IMPD and other dity-county agencies. In addition to meeting “your officers”, many of the IMPD special units such as SWAT, K-9, Air Patrol, and the Bomb Unit are on hand to showcase some of the tools that the officers use to do their jobs. Make sure that you mark your calendar. Also, stop by the SoIndy booth and say hi.

Operation Nightlight
The city has begun the conversion of streetlights to energy-efficient LED technology. As the conversion of 27,000 City-funded cobra head streetlights continues over the next three years, the city will also begin to install new streetlights. It is anticipated they will have accrued enough savings, due to less energy consumption, to begin installing new lights by Quarter 3 of 2018.
