The Episcopal Church Executive Council has approved the awarding of seven Constable Fund grants and nine Roanridge Trust grants, including a Constable Fund grant of $5,729 to the Diocese of Western Kansas and Bishop Kemper School for Ministry (BKSM).

The Diocese of West Missouri Peace and Justice Committee is teaming up with the Missioner for Gun Violence from the Diocese of Missouri to attend the lawmaker Advocacy Day for common sense gun legislation in Jefferson City. We would like to invite you and anyone in your parish who is interested in gun safety legislation to join us.

Henry Thacker (Harry) Burleigh (December 2, 1866 – September 12, 1949) is a renowned American composer, baritone singer and was a life-long Episcopalian. He is known for his arrangements of the spirituals of enslaved African Americans, which he collected and transcribed during his travels throughout the South. his music has had a lasting impact on African American music.

Michael Curry is the Presiding Bishop of The Episcopal Church, the first African American to hold the position. As Presiding Bishop, Curry has been a prominent voice on social justice issues, and has advocated for marriage equality and immigration reform.
