Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ,
April is turning out to be the month of big staff announcements at St. Michael's. Today I am excited to share the news that we have hired Owen Copps as our new Director of Children and Youth Ministries at St. Michael's. Owen will be guiding, nurturing, and encouraging the spiritual growth for our families and I'm excited about the energy and excitement he will be bringing into our community.
Owen will be moving to Colorado Springs in July and will hit the ground running as he gets to know our families, community, and city. He will also be joining me and other St. Michael's families for Family Camp at Cathedral Ridge August 5-8 (click here to register and learn more). As Owen's arrival nears, please keep him in your prayers and look out for opportunities to welcome and get to know him.
Owen recently graduated Summa cum laude from Tufts University with a major in American Studies and minor in Religious Studies. While at Tufts he has been involved in the Interfaith Council, Sports Club Council, Bread Campus Ministry, Tufts University Interfaith Chaplaincy, and Sojourn Collegiate Ministries. Owen is a life-long Episcopalian and comes to St. Michael's with years of ministry experience, a love of God, and passion for helping people of all ages grow spiritually. Over the past several years I've had the privilege to work beside Owen on the planning and delivery of impactful ministries and been extremely impressed with his gifts.
