Welcome to Babson!
The Undergraduate Orientation team is very excited to welcome you to our Babson community. We have been planning for your arrival for months already and with January just around the corner, we want to be sure to share with you some important information. Throughout the next month, new students and families will receive a number of newsletters, each containing important information about move-in, orientation, required documentation, and other general tips for preparing for your arrival. The Undergraduate Orientation program is designed with three objectives:

Discover
We want you to discover all the resources and opportunities there are for you at Babson College to succeed academically and socially.

Explore
Our goal is for you to explore your new community, meet new people, and see what options there are for you to create your own Babson journey.

Engage
As part of our community we want you to engage with others, learn from people who come from different places and have different traditions. We hope you will not be just a member of our Babson family but a truly engaged member who values the diversity our community brings to the experience.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Babson family! Go Beavers!

Best,

Upcoming Deadlines
January 6: Spring Semester Payments
Spring 2020 student account details are currently available on the Babson Hub. On January 6, fall semester payments are due and students need to enroll in or waive (with comparable coverage) Babson's health insurance by this date.
January 10: Submit Your OneCard Photo Online
The Babson OneCard offers a unique set of applications for the convenience of Babson students such as building access, dining, mail, and library services. Prior to January 10, all new students must submit a photo online following the photo submission guidelines. Questions should be directed to the OneCard Office at 781-239-5647 or onecard@babson.edu.
January 17: Required Online Course for New Students
On January 3, you will receive an email from Elise Brucato, Assistant Director, Wellness & Prevention Services, regarding regarding ‘Watch Your BAC’, an online alcohol education course that students must complete prior to their arrival at Babson. The deadline to complete these programs is January 17.
January 17: Introduction to Community Standards
Joining a new community is exciting but it can also be confusing and overwhelming. The Introduction to Community Standards course provides incoming students with an overview of the College’s expectations for behavior in and outside of the classroom, all of which are grounded in honesty, integrity, and respect. The course shares these insights to the College’s community expectations to minimize potential confusion about life at Babson and to assure you that we are a community of care that supports and challenges students as they develop into responsible decision makers. Students will be notified in January and are required to complete the course by January 17.
Babson Dining Nutritional Outreach
Babson Dining Services realizes how seriously food allergies and Celiac Disease can affect the quality of our students' life experience. Students can contact Shavaun Cloran or complete the Nutrition Outreach Form to arrange for a meeting with the goal of providing dietary support suiting specific dietary needs.
Immunizations and Health History Requirements
All students are required to upload documentation and enter the dates of all required immunizations, upload the TB screening form and 'Consent to Treat' form, and complete the online Health History. Students can complete required medical forms on the Babson Online Student Health Portal. Information regarding immunizations, the Babson-sponsored health insurance plan, and more can be found on the Health Services website.
Personal Property Insurance
We'd like to remind you that the College assumes no liability for loss or damage to a student's personal property, whatever the cause of that damage or loss, be it by fire, flood, theft, or any other cause. It is strongly recommended that students carry appropriate insurance to cover all of their personal property.
For more information about these and other transitiondates and deadlines, visit the Babson Hub and the Spring 2020 Transition Checklist.
