This past October I took a new studio in High Falls, NY. It's a great space and one that will allow me to return to working large again. It also comes at an opportune time as I've just been offered a solo exhibition at the Garrison Art Center in Garrison, NY which will take place in early 2022.
I'd also like to invite you to an open studio at my new space on Sat. Nov. 27th & Sun. Nov. 28th, noon-5pm. I've been going through some of my earlier work and have decided that for this open studio I'll be showing and offering for sale a selection of works from my earlier botanical and flora series. These works are drawings done in charcoal, ink & wax on old book pages. I'll also be offering selections from my chandelier series that are chine colle drawings with rice paper, ink, graphite & carbon transfer. I began working in series many years ago and these pieces come from bodies of work that often included 50-80 pieces per series. It's been interesting to see where my work has evolved from and to witness the new direction it's moving toward.
