Michelle Cevallos, John Jay '24, felt like she was coming home to a family at John Jay after previously attending a predominantly white school. She has been able to thrive as a member of ¡Adelante!, John Jay’s Latinx leadership program. Michelle plans to exercise her right to vote for the first time, sharing how important it is for the voice of the Latinx community to be heard.

Michelle's advice: “We need to understand that we have the power to come together and use our voices to vote for elected officials who understand and represent our communities.”
