TheHuntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens in San Marino, CA engaged Salvador Acevedo and his firm Scansion to conduct an in-depth design strategy and research study to help actualize their DEI strategy and uncover "The Next Huntington's Visitor." Through a series of ethnographic interviews with new and current visitors to The Huntington, and in collaboration with its leadership team, Scansion brought to light the meaningful experiences the Next Visitor desired and then worked with the leadership to craft a set of design principles for the development of programs, exhibitions, and marketing communications to inspire engagement.
The Informal Learning Review Goes Digital
Mac West's The Informal Learning Review has gone digital. As of the January-February issue, no. 171, the bimonthly publication is available online only and at a lower subscription price than before. (Elimination of mailing costs does make a difference!) That first digital issue included articles by Jeanne Vergeront, John Jacobsen, Mary Ellen Hawkins, Paul Dusenbery and co-authors, Charlie Walter and Charlie Trautman.
