Robert Mac West recently concluded his contractual advisory role in the development of the first science and technology center in the country of Pakistan. The MagnifiScience Centre, an operation of The Dawood Foundation, has been open for about a year and although still being completed, has drawn almost 200,000 visitors from the Karachi area. It has four floors of interactives plus a science and botany area outside. West has completed the necessary assessment of the MSC and is encouraging the leaders to interact in a positive way with the international science museum community.
The Informal Learning Review is turning 30!
The Informal Learning Review (ILR) is a bi-monthly journal published by Mac West and designed to bring together research and understanding of the informal learning industry. Six times a year, ILR offers 24-32 pages of articles, essays, and listings that provoke thought, explore trends and issues, present case studies and book and exhibition reviews, and provide basic practical information.
