This fall is chock full of tango activity! The Wed Practica Aug 29 (tonight) is at my house instead of Colibri Architects, 6-9:30pm. Here are highlights for the next few weeks. Please scroll down for details. As always, private lessons and wedding services are available by appointment.

6-9:30pm (neighbors go to sleep early) ~ $3
Come dance with me on my breezy back porch. If you haven't eaten yet, bring your dinner or something to share. I'll provide drinks and snacks. Directions: From 127 in Burlington or Colchester, turn onto Plattsburg Ave (near bridge). Go 1/8 mile to the second light and turn Right onto North Ave. Go a few hundred feet past Flynn Elementary School and take the next Left onto Browe Court. Park on Browe as close to North Ave as possible. Please speak softly when arriving and leaving. Thanks.

Tango in Burlington
Wednesdays in September
6:30-7:30 pm Advanced Beginner Tango
September is embrace month. Through key patterns and exercises, we'll improve the partner connection. For dancers with at least 2 months of tango experience or permission of instructor. $48 for 4 classes or $13 per class 7:30-8:30 pm Intermediate Tango
David Lansky and Elizabeth team up again this month to teach the wonder of dancing to tango vals. For dancers with at least 1 year of experience of permission of instructor. $48 for 4 classes or $13 per class
8:30-10 pm Guided Practica, Practice what you know and ask questions as you go. Elizabeth provides guidance as needed, inspiring and adventurous music, and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Bring songs to try on CD or i-device.
$5, or $4 with a class the same evening

Registration open for UVM Tango Course
Tango I ~ Mon, Wed 4:05-5:20 pm ~ Aug 27-Nov 18 ~ 1 credit
Royal Tyler Theater, Room 210, 116 University Place
This course offers an introduction to tango for absolute beginners and those who have never done any kind of social dance (e.g., swing, salsa, ballroom). Learn how to dance tango, how to interpret tango music, and the codes of interaction for attending tango events locally and worldwide. Register through UVM Continuing Education here.
Tango II has been rescheduled for Spring 2013.

Windancer Movement Studio

7-9 pm Beginner Tango
Each class includes 90 minutes of instruction and 30 minutes of practice time. No partner required.
Wear comfortable shoes.

7-10 pm Windancer Milonga
7-7:30 pm Beginner Lesson (included with admission)

Come dance at the Windancer Movement Center -- a beautiful, new, air-conditioned studio in the historic Marble Works Building. Enjoy light refreshments and dance to a gorgeous mix of traditional and alternative tango music. $8

About Elizabeth
Elizabeth M. Seyler has danced tango since 2000 and has enjoyed teaching it since 2006 in Philadelphia, Montreal, and Vermont. She hosts milongas, practicas, and tango fundraisers that feature memorable playlists and delicious repasts. Elizabeth creates an interactive, playful, inclusive environment for dancers of all ages and abilities. She holds a master's degree in education and a Ph.D. in dance and has published original research in tango books and presented at international dance conferences since 2006.
