Flywheel and the Cabarrus Center launched a services-based tech accelerator that will offer $50,000 worth of free software and business development for Greater Charlotte Region tech startups.

Local Entrepreneurs Complete Retail Lab Boot Camp at the Cabarrus Center

Fourteen entrepreneurs from Cabarrus, Rowan and Mecklenburg counties have recently completed the Fall 2022 Retail Lab Boot Camp—a program established in 2021 to address the complex nature of starting and operating a retail establishment.

After Cabarrus EDC and Flywheel Coworking partnered to open the Cabarrus Center in 2021, additional partnerships have formed to further support entrepreneurs in our community. The Flywheel Foundation collaborated with the Small Business Center at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College to develop the programming for the Retail Lab Boot Camp.

Kannapolis Approves Agreement for Purchase of Land for United States Performance Center Project

The Kannapolis City Council has approved additional steps in the process needed to bring the United States Performance Center to the City. The USPC will partner athletes and researchers with the N.C. Research Campus together to prepare athletes for the rigors of Olympic and professional competitions.
