Pastor Trudy's Message
REMEMBER! On our annual meeting day, we remember where we’ve been and look ahead to where we might go. Every week in Holy Communion we remember the night that Jesus gathered with His friends to celebrate what He knew was the last meal before His crucifixion. In Baptism we remember all the ways that God has saved people through water. Joshua, now in the promised land, takes a moment to remind the people where they have been and how present God has been through their challenges. Their identity comes from their relationship to God. When we remember the events of our lives, from where do we get our identity?
Good and gracious God, help us to remember all the ways You’ve been present with us throughout our journey—in challenge and in joy. Thank you for forming us in Your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
