PREPARING FOR WORSHIP

Pastor Trudy's Message

Getting what you pray for. If people have ever heard of Solomon, they've usually also heard that he is wise. Maybe they even know that he asked God for a discerning mind and God was pleased to grant it. God also gave instructions to USE it! Is it possible that a story we usually read as a parable for how we should seek wisdom could actually be a parable of the limits of human wisdom, especially when it becomes disconnected from God's wisdom?

God, all that really matters is to follow You. To trust where You lead. Help me to quiet myself enough to hear You, slow down enough to make sure I don't get ahead of You, and understand my human limits. In Jesus' name, Amen.
