New Traffic Patterns for Drop-Off and Pick-Up

CVCA Community,

We are navigating campus in new ways this year and remain committed to keeping you informed during these ongoing construction projects. We are so grateful for the blessing of expanding our space to make room for our mission! Special thanks to the city planners and traffic engineers who have worked hard to keep a challenging situation flowing as smoothly as possible.

As you may know, the City of Cuyahoga Falls is hard at work on the Wyoga Lake expansion project. We are in regular communication with the City in hopes of keeping our families informed of anticipated disruptions as they impact entry or exit from our campus. We will share information as it becomes available to us. At present, you can expect both lanes of traffic to remain open during this construction project.

In other construction news, Walsh has added an additional entrance to their campus off of State Road. We are hopeful that this permanently reduces the number of cars on Wyoga Lake Road.

A few reminders as we journey this school year together…

Please be patient – especially during the first 2-3 weeks of school. As new routines settle in, traffic does improve. This happens every year, and this year will be no exception. Let’s be kind to one another during this time.
Allow extra time. Altering arrival times will help with morning traffic and overall morning stress.
Carpool if at all possible. Finding ways to cut down on the number of cars coming to CVCA each day is a great way to help. Are you looking for families in your area? Email the Admissions Office for help finding families near you.
Choose the drop-off location that is most convenient for you and your student(s). Note that both middle and high school students may use all entrances/exits each morning and afternoon.
Arriving late? Students may enter the building and sign in at the new Student Entrance C or the Welcome Center.
Please note the North Entrance/Exit is a two-lane entrance until noon each day.
If you enter through the Main Entrance to park or drop off, you must leave out the Main Exit. There is no access to the north traffic lane.

Please review the following traffic flow directions and maps carefully.

Note that morning and afternoon are different.

DROP-OFF:

Students may arrive at school as early as 7:15 a.m. ALL students arriving between 7:15 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. should use the Fieldhouse lobby entrance. All other entrances will be open at 7:30 a.m.
All student drivers will park in Lot C or Lot D (senior parking). These drivers must use the parking/passing lane. They may enter the building through any door.
Middle school students may wish to use Student Entrance C, conveniently located in the Middle School wing. Or, they may choose to use the Athletic Entrance to access locker rooms and have a short walk to the Middle School.
High school students may enter the building at the Learning Commons (A), New Entrance (B), or Middle School Entrance (C).
Please note the North Entrance/Exit is a two-lane entrance until noon each day
The South Exit is exit only at all times.

PICK-UP:

The same doors used for drop-off may be used for pick-up.
The North Entrance/Exit operates as both an entrance lane (inside lane) and exit lane (outside lane) after noon each day.
Between 2:50 p.m. and 3:15 p.m., students should transition to their after-school practice or be picked up.
After 3:15 p.m., students waiting for transportation must go to the Learning Commons, where they can be picked up.
