Hello Friends et Bonjour les Amis!

As Summer transitions to fall here in the Kingdom, the cool misty mornings, sunny hot afternoons, and amazing sunsets are perfect for a jaunt on the trails.

As usual, there is tons to report! We'll start with the news that due to a staff shortage, our welcome center is now closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Do not fret, the trail network will remain open! Memberships and swag can be purchased from our online store. Trail maps and conditions can be found on our website. And if you're in town already, you can grab a hard copy of the map right outside our welcome center door or get information at the new kiosk at the same location.

New Safe Road & Trail Crossings

We're taking action folks! As many are aware, KT and the Burke Chamber, received a USDA Rural Business Development Grant to fund a Network Capacity Study that was completed this past Spring. Public engagement was a key component throughout the process and we were grateful to learn our community’s wants, concerns, and vision for KT’s future. The study determined that the KT network had sufficient capacity, but there were significant safety issues and imbalances in usage. Recommendations focused on safer traffic and pedestrian flow and dispersion of users. One specific strategy that we were excited to tackle right away is the Safe Road and Trail Crossings project. New Trail!
We're excited to announce the opening of another new trail! This trail is on the property that all of you helped KT and the Vermont Land Trust purchase last year on Darling Ridge. This land was conserved in order to protect its natural resources permanently for public recreational access. Thank you for your support in making this happen!
Martha's Pines

Named after former KT landowner Martha Coughlin, who recently passed away, Martha's Pines is a handbuilt flow style singletrack. This trail utilizes the original entrance to the former "Pines" trail and has many of the same characteristics such as flowy switchbacks, mellow rock features, and playful jumps for those with a keen eye.

Length: .9 miles
Difficulty rating: blue square
