This course is designed to build on the basic principles of working in the field and what staff may have learned in a basic Field Safety Training. In Field Safety II we will explore some increasingly common challenges or tricky situations that require knowledge and skill for responding that will help you and others stay safe while working in the field.

Objectives:



• Identify different types of challenging situations.

• Describe the steps of overdose response.

• Distinguish three ways to de-escalate conflicts in the field.

• Identify safety issues to navigate encampments.
