Summer is heating up, and so are our events at BIA San Bernardino County! We’re thrilled to kick off the month with a completely SOLD-OUT Top Golf Event on June 18th. We’re also excited to officially announce that registration is now open for the 2025 Building Industry Show (BIS)! This year, we’re taking the show to the desert for an unforgettable experience at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa in Indian Wells, September 11–12. BIS 2025 will feature all your favorite events, including our BIASC 3rd Annual Builders vs. Associates Golf Tournament, Meet the Builder, and a show floor packed with industry-leading exhibitors, and much more.

BIASC Inland Empire 2025 Mid-Year Economic Update

Ontario User Fee Update

The City of Ontario has contacted the BIA regarding an update to their development user fees and will be providing further details. The BIA staff will be reviewing the fee calculations and reporting the status to our members. If you are interested in the BIA Ontario Taskforce please contact BIASC Chief Policy Office Carlos Rodriguez at crodriguez@biasc.org.

Chino User Fee Update

The City of Chino has proposed a development user fee increase scheduled for a public hearing on June 17. BIA staff is currently reviewing the fee methodology and continues to meet with City Staff to confirm the calculations.

Chino Park Development Impact Fee Update

The City of Chino has proposed a 90% increase on park development impact fees in the Preserve – see char t below. BIA staff is currently reviewing the fee methodology. If you are interested in participating in the BIA Chino Taskforce please contact BIASC Chief Policy Office Carlos Rodriguez at crodriguez@biasc.org.

Hesperia USD

The Hesperia Unified School District is proposing an increase on their Current Level II Fee: $6.86 to a proposed Level 2 Fee: $7.45 on June 9. The BIA has submitted a letter of opposition. Please advise if this increase would adversely affect your projects.

Victor Elementary SD

The Victor Elementary School District is proposing an increase on their Current Level II Fee: $3.89 to a proposed Level 2 Fee: $4.34 on June 25. Please advise if this increase would adversely affect your projects.

Fontana Building Standards Update

The City of Fontana has proposed an update to their building standards. The BIA Fontana taskforce is providing comments and coordinating with staff on the update. Please contact BIA staff for more information.

Environmental Regulations

Please contact BIA staff Ana Gromis agromis@biasc.org if your projects are adversely affected by increasing permitting delays/costs related to the Western Joshua Tree, Burrowing Owl and Crotch’s Bumblebee.
