Medical Recruitment Relocation Fund

"The new [Montana] program allows participating employers to reimburse employees’ moving costs of up to $12,500. Thirty-five-percent of the total reimbursement cost will cancel out the anticipated payroll tax deductions employers collect for eligible moving and relocation costs, the governor’s release said.

Health care providers are required to pledge to relocating to Montana and stay employed for at least one consecutive year in order to be eligible for the program." - from MATR.net.

Workforce Training Grant Program
The new Workforce Training Grant Program will provide $10 million to Montana non-profit and for-profit businesses for skill-based training of new and existing employees.

Eligible businesses can apply to the program and receive up to $3,000 per eligible employee, with a maximum allocation of $210,000. Each eligible employee must make a wage that meets or exceeds 170 percent of Montana’s current minimum wage, currently $14.88 per hour. There is also a $500 incentive for new positions that hire individuals from a number of special categories.
