Advancing Student Success Through Collaboration with the Chancellor's Office

The California State University (CSU) recently introduced its new Student Success Framework, a broader and more holistic vision that expands on GI 2025 and centers the full student experience. In this new Voices blog, Dr. Thad Nodine breaks down the key elements of the Framework, its focus on equity and student-centered metrics, and what it means for campuses as they prepare for implementation. He also highlights how the Network is positioned to support middle leaders as they navigate this next phase of systemwide change and continue their work to advance student learning and success.

The Middle Leadership Academy brings together cross-functional CSU teams to strengthen equity-minded practices, deepen collaboration, and advance student learning and success on their campuses. Applications for the upcoming cohort will open soon. We look forward to welcoming teams ready to build on their campus goals and move this work forward together.

ICYMI: A Year of Networking and Collaboration, 2024–25 Annual Report

Our 2024–25 annual report highlights how middle leaders across the CSU have continued to strengthen equity and connection as campuses navigate uncertainty around equity work. From expanding the Middle Leadership Academy and launching the inaugural Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Middle Leadership Academy to hosting new Communities of Practice for LGBTQIA2S+ student success, the Network has deepened collaboration across campuses.
