INVESTMENT INFORMATION

Valued Partners,

As you all know, New Waters Recovery North Carolina has opened successfully, and we are ramping up client admissions. So far, we have admitted 15 clients in the first week and a half, and we are just getting started. The staff that Graham and the executive team have put together are excelling in providing the elevated level of care we sought to create in New Waters Recovery. As a result, feedback from the clients and the community has been overwhelming.

As you all know, our long-term plan for New Waters Recovery includes at least two additional free-standing detox facilities, first in Kansas City, Kansas, and then another just outside of Columbus, Ohio. These would be followed up by a residential program in either North Carolina or South Carolina. It is no secret that the substance use problem in the United States continues to worsen. While that is good for our business, it also means that more competitors are looking to enter and or expand in our healthcare market segment. To achieve our long-term goals and maximize our exit valuation, we must begin the process of creating the next location, starting with Kansas City. Kansas City desperately needs treatment resources, and we intend to be the first to fill a part of that void. We have already been searching for property and interviewing developers, so we have somewhat of a head start. Upon receipt of this material, the original partners of New Waters Recovery North Carolina will have an exclusive 10-business day first right to participate. If you intend to participate, you must communicate your intentions to the Managing Partner or your Company Representative during the 10-day window. We will not be collecting 100% of the funding upfront for this project. We will collect 50% at the time of subscription and the remaining 50% as we near the beginning of construction. We are setting these parameters because we must secure the land and begin the civil and architectural process immediately in order to bring our much-needed services to this market as quickly as possible.

We are incredibly proud of what we have built in North Carolina with all of you. We are even more excited to continue the journey and execute the long-term vision of New Water Recovery together. Please find below the investment information and links for New Waters Recovery Kansas City Fund, LP.

WHAT IS DETOX?

Detox is the process of healing in which substances are cleansed from the body in a medical setting. The goal is to help clients end their physical dependency on drugs or alcohol so they can begin treatment with a clear mind, physical energy and renewed hope. The detox process is imperative to ensure safety and comfort levels for people under going the painful, and sometimes life-threatening, symptoms and potential medical complications that result from ending substance use. It also helps clients manage the severe cravings, anxiety and overall discomfort that arise from removing toxins from the body. This occurs because long-term drug or alcohol abuse creates imbalances in the brain and body that effect behavior, mood, logic and more. Withdrawal is part of the reason why it's so difficult to achieve sustainable recovery and the main reason why so many addicts continue to use drugs or alcohol. Once toxins are safely removed, the client will transition into a 30 day residential program.

CURRENT DETOX FACTORS

Accessibility

Accessibility to substance use treatment continues to be a barrier for most addicts. In particular, lack of access to medical detox programs, which safely remove substances and stabilize patients, are a crucial step in the recovery process and their ability to find long term recovery.

Mental Health + COVID‑19

We are experiencing one of the largest epidemics of our generation. With the current Covid-19 pandemic and the abrupt stop in the global economy, we are at the precipice of a second wave of mental health and substance related consequences. We are seeing a massive increase in alcohol consumption, drug use and suicidal idealization as a result of job loss, toxic family dynamics and general uncertainty of the future.

Ripe Market

Our focus has been to identify affluent markets lacking substance use resources and build a network of medical detox facilities to serve those who need to be medically detoxed in a safe and comfortable environment.
