What is it and how does it work?

What is it?
Most of us ride with friends, a club or a team.  So, why not compete together in a fun, social event and work with each other verses against each other?  C4 is a 4 person team competing Friday night in the Time Trial and Saturday in the C50 road ride.

How does it work?

Friday evening you and your 3 friends/teammates will ride in a 4 person team event.  We're working on the details of what that will look like...could be a 4 person Time Trial or a 4 person relay ride depending on permitting.  The third rider across the line counts as the team's time.  Saturday your 4 person team will ride in the C50 and start together in the Team Start Wave.  The third rider across the line counts as the team's time which is then added to the Friday night team time.  The combination of Friday and Saturday's team time is the one that will count in the C4 results.  Each team member is also eligible for individual awards in their respective age groups.

Gilda's Club Simcoe Muskoka provides cancer support for individuals within the Simcoe and Muskoka region including Collingwood, Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, Huntsville and many other outlying communities.  Since opening our signature Red Door in the spring of 2010, our program of FREE social and emotional support continues to be an essential complement to medical care.  Our innovative cancer support Program provides networking and support groups, education workshops, lectures and social activities FREE of charge to men, women, teens and children, along with their family and friends, whose lives have been impacted by a cancer diagnosis.  Gilda's Club does not receive any government funding, so community support and events like the Centurion  is vital to ensuring that our program remains FREE of charge so that no one faces cancer alone in your community.
We are now recruiting enthusiastic riders of all ages, shapes and sizes to join Gilda's Club Simcoe Muskoka Cycling Team at this year's Subaru Centurion The Blue Mountains for a great weekend of cycling, and camaraderie all in support of Gilda's Club Simcoe Muskoka.
Our fundraising goal this year is $20,000 to help our support groups for adults and children alike.Gilda's Club runs more than 260 cancer support groups each year.  Support groups are offered for both those who have been diagnosed with cancer as well as their family and friends.    These groups provide integral support, resources and a sense of community across the cancer experience.
