THE FORMAT OF SUMMIT IS DESIGNED TO INSPIRE INNOVATIVE THINKING

Inspired by 18-minute TED Talks and Japan’s Pecha Kucha presentation PechaKucha (ペチャクチャ) is a presentation format that originated in Tokyo, Japan, in 2003. It was created by two architects, Astrid Klein, and Mark Dytham, as a way for young designers to showcase their work and network with others in a fun and informal setting. The name "PechaKucha" comes from the Japanese word for "chit-chat."

The format of a PechaKucha presentation is simple and strict: each speaker shows 20 slides, and each slide is shown for 20 seconds. This means that each presentation is exactly 6 minutes and 40 seconds long. The goal of the format is to keep presentations concise and to the point, which makes them more engaging for the audience.

PechaKucha events are now held in cities all over the world, and they cover a wide range of topics, including design, architecture, art, technology, and more. The format is popular among creatives and entrepreneurs, as it provides a platform to showcase their work and ideas in a concise and engaging way.

In a typical PechaKucha presentation, the speaker will introduce themselves and their topic, and then show their 20 slides with a commentary. The slides are usually images or graphics that support the speaker's message. The 20-second time limit per slide means that speakers need to be well-rehearsed and have a clear idea of what they want to say.

THE PECHAKUCHA PRESENTATIONS AT THE IA SUMMIT WILL BE 15 MINUTES LONG, FOLLOWED BY 5 MINUTES OF Q&A.

IN SUMMARY, GUESTS WILL EXPERIENCE 20 MINUTES WITH EACH SPEAKER!
