NEW WHEELS FOR NESTOR THANKS TO HMY YACHTS THROUGH HOMETOWN FOUNDATION FUNDRAISER

Nestor Flores is a 5-year-old boy from South Florida who has Cerebral Palsy. According to his father, Nestor is a charming and loving kid, who is always striving for better. His family says that he likes to be independent, being treated like others despite his disabilities, is very smart, and loves you to death if he knows you love him.

His parents were using a stroller to get him around, but he was quickly outgrowing it and they were desperately in need of a wheelchair that would provide the necessary support for Nestor. Two non-profits were able to come together and make life better for this young boy and his family and provide a “Gift of Mobility.”

Chariots of Love is a Florida-based non-profit that helps provide wheelchairs and mobility equipment for children in need, relying on donations to be able to cover the cost of all of the equipment. The Hometown Foundation recently held Toasting Dreams -- a fundraising dinner at The Colony Palm Beach -- that raised funds for all of our areas of focus, one of which is our Major Illness pillar. Thanks to a generous donation through HMY Yachts, we were able to help cover the cost of Nestor’s new chair. Nestor was all smiles when his chair was revealed and wasted no time learning how to maneuver his chair and move around independently.

Do you have a car you'd like to share with a Dream Rider? We are expecting a record-number of Dream Riders at the 2023 Dream Ride Experience and we need drivers who are willing to open the doors of their vehicles to make their dreams come true!

Registration is now open for the 2023 Dream Cruise to be held Saturday, August 26, 2023 at the Farmington Polo Club in Farmington, Connecticut. The Dream Cruise is a 12-mile, police-escorted journey and is open to all makes and models with the option to open the doors of your vehicle to a Dream Rider.



Our Dream Riders, who are individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities or those in need, are the heart and soul of our event. In addition to riding in the Dream Cruise, our Dream Riders are celebrated throughout The Dream Ride Experience.

You can be part of giving our Dream Riders a once-in-a-lifetime memory by registering for the Dream Cruise. Registration for the Dream Cruise also includes weekend admission to The Dream Ride Experience and the opportunity to participate in The Dream Show on Sunday, August 27.
