Williston Works Podcast Season 2 - Episode 6 - Fresh Fit Kitchen & The Body Shoppe
The sixth Williston Works Podcast features Fresh Fit Kitchen & The Body Shoppe with owners JW and Blair Sheering. 
Williston Economic Development - Williston Economic Development has released the first six episodes of Season 2 of its Williston Works podcast. Five of the six podcasts feature local entrepreneurs while one showcases an internship program. The host of the program is WED Executive Shawn Wenko. Some of the episodes highlight programs offered though the City of Williston STAR Fund. "The Flex PACE Interest Buydown program is the biggest program our office utilizes, and we have a lot of support from our leadership here," said Wenko. ASB&T featured in Federal Reserve Video
ASB&T President/CEO Dave Hanson is featured in the Federal Reserve video. 
News Release - American State Bank & Trust Company of Williston was recently chosen by the Federal Reserve as one of only three community banks in the United States to be featured in its own exclusive video that premiered earlier this month at the 2019 Community Banking in the 21st Century Conference.  "Being selected as one of only three featured community banks in the US is a huge honor and we are very proud of the finished product," said ASB&T President/CEO Dave Hanson.  Read More
Groundbreaking held for Innovation Academy; ASB&T donates $500,000

News Release - The Board of Directors of American State Bank & Trust Company of Williston recently approved a n anchor donation of $500,000 to the Williston Public School District #1 Innovation Academy.  The anchor donation from ASB, combined with many other community, business and energy industry sponsors and a major grant from Williams County, has made it possible to begin remodeling the former indoor pool facility into a dedicated learning space for approximately 400 fifth through eighth grade students.  Read More      WPSD#1 News Release
City of Williston moves Forward with Health Care Assessment
Williston Herald - " This is not an assessment about employees or staff of any particular health care provider," said Maggie Anderson, a consultant with Cardon Global who served as the state's Medicaid Director for more than a decade, as well working within the North Dakota Department of Human Services. "What it is about is assessing the health care needs and addressing any gaps that there might be in the health care delivery system."   Read More
Construction in high gear at Watford City Elementary School
KUMV-TV - T here are already 1,900 students in the McKenzie County School District #1, with more on the way. The largest numbers are in preschool an d kindergarten.  To prepare for that influx, the district is building a brand new $35 million elementary school. Construction on their state-of-the-art facility began in April, and is scheduled to be completed by next September.  That means employees will be working through the winter.   Read More
Western North Dakota Lawmakers meet in Watford City, discuss Legacy Fund Spending
"We may not be able to do everything you guys are thinking of, but we can pick out the ones that are going to make it," said District 37 Sen. Rich Wardner (above) with regard to Legacy Funding.
Dickinson Press - Western North Dakota legislators and superintendents gathered at Watford City's Rough Rider Center Monday to discuss using Legacy Fund dollars to meet educational needs.  "We want to make sure we have everything on the table to consider going forward as we deal with Legacy earnings," District 37 Sen. Williston Public Works Building to celebrate Grand Opening November 6
The new Public Works Building is located at 1121 5th St. E. in Williston. 
Williston Economic Development - Williston Public Works and Engineering is celebrating the grand opening of their new complex located at 1121 5th St E. The staff invites the public to come out to their new complex on Wednesday, November 6th, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. The celebration will kick off with a ribbon cutting at 2:00 p.m. followed by tours. Read More

The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the crematory located at 3423 West Front Street (white building next to Handy Andy's Nursery).

10/31 ------ Trail of Treats
Trick-or-Treaters are invited to Downtown Williston to get their fill of candy and goodies. The event will be held from 2:30-5 p.m. (or until the treats are gone!)

10/31 ------ All City Halloween Party
The event will be held from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Williston Area Recreation Center. The party is sponsored by the City of Williston and Williston Parks and Recreation District.

11/06 ------ 1 Million Cups
Support local entrepreneurs by attending the one-hour meeting at 8:30 a.m. at the Teton Lounge. Complimentary coffee will be provided. The presenters will be VRkade and Upper Cuts Gym.

11/06 ------ Williston Public Works Building Ribbon Cutting & Open House
Join the City of Williston as it celebrates the grand opening of the new Williston Public Works Building from 2-4 p.m. There will be light refreshments and tours.

11/12 ------  City Commission
The commission meets the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month at 6 p.m. in the Williams County Commission Room located in the County Administrative Building.

Enjoy thousands of holiday lights in over 60 displays nightly from 5:30-9:30 p.m.
