Dear Tory,
Peace and Greetings to You!
Over these last several weeks we’ve been in our series New Year | New You, where we have been making changes or resolutions for this coming year, or those changes that God is calling us to make in this year ahead. And throughout this series we’ve been looking together at the New Testament Book of Colossians, which before it became a book, started as a letter that Paul wrote to some believers in that Greek city-state of Kalasha.
I invite you to join me this Sunday at 11:00am for In-Person Worship or later Sunday afternoon for our Virtual Worship Service, as we continue our series “NEW YEAR|NEW YEAR,” as we look at how “MEASURABLE RESULTS” help complete our formula for change as we continue to assess our journey into 2023.
As always, I Invite you to take a moment to scroll down to view these announcements and the many other special announcements, connected to the life of our congregation and community, as we continue to be the vibrant, inclusive, and progressive community of faith that we are.
Regardless of how you continue worshipping with us, whether in-person or virtually, know that you are welcomed in our home and into our community of faith!
In Christ,

Scripture: Ephesians 4:7-13
Each of us has received God’s grace in the measure in which Christ has bestowed
it. Thus you find scripture saying, “You ascended on high, leading captives in
your train, and giving gifts to people.” “You ascended”—what does this mean but
that Christ first descended into the lower regions of the earth? The One who descended is the very One who ascended high above the heavens in order to
fill the whole universe. And to some, the gift they were given is that they should
be apostles; to some, prophets; to some, evangelists; to some, pastors and
teachers. These gifts were given to equip fully the holy ones for the work of
service, and to build up the body of Christ — until we all attain unity in our
faith and in our knowledge of the Only Begotten of God, until we become
mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

We CONTINUE our New Year's Series
|
This Sunday we CONTINUE our New Year's Series: NEW YEAR|NEW YOU.
As we being the new year, we will explore simples formula for change: Commitment to living a changed life LEADS TO changed behavior, which LEADS
TO measurable results. We will explore Paul’s ultimate goal is to help us meet
Jesus so we can live the full, free life God created you to live. Real, lasting
change only comes as God works in us to produce change.
We CONTINUE our series with:
"MEASURABLE RESULTS"

Southeast Clergy Association Communities of Faith Combined Ash Wednesday Service
Wednesday, February 22, 2023 - 7:00pm
Wednesday, February 22nd is Ash Wednesday, which in many faith traditions
marks the beginning of the Lenten Season, where we once again begin our journey to the cross. The Rite of Imposition of Ashes, for which this day of the liturgical year is named, defines a ritual with a lot of different symbolisms.
Ash has been a symbol of grief and mourning, and has been a symbol of the
frailty and finitude of human life (summed up perhaps best in the phrase,
'Ashes and ashes; dust to dust’). Ash also symbolized the possibility of transformation and new life.
Join Milwaukee Metropolitan Community Church along with the other churches within the Southeast Clergy Association of Churches, as we gather for a combined Ash Wednesday Worship and Imposition of Ashes Service, Wednesday, February 22, 2022.
Worship begins at 7:00PM
in the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church Sanctuary.
Prince of Peace Lutheran Church is located at
4419 South Howell Avenue
Milwaukee, WI 53207
We hope you'll join us for this symbolic and powerful service!
