Message from Our CEO

I often reflect on what inspires progress and what fuels our mission and fuels my passion bucket . Growing up in the 80s, I found some of that spark in the music of Hüsker Dü, a Minneapolis rock trio. As we step into the New Year, I’m reminded of their album, New Day Rising—a fitting symbol for this moment. This New Year is not just a turn of the calendar; it’s an invitation to rise together, embrace bold changes, and take on new beginnings.

We launch 2026 with our Youth of the Year Event—a powerful mission moment that honors 15 exceptional Club members for their academic and character accomplishments. These young leaders exemplify excellence, resilience, and the spirit of possibility. Their achievements at the Club, their impact on their peers, families, and teachers, and their commitment to improving the environment around them embody the new future days we are building together in lock step. These exceptional young leaders, whom you’ll learn about next month, not only believe in being the change they wish to see in the world- they are the change.

Holidays at The Club

December, generosity turned into impact. Thanks to our incredible donors and community partners, every Club kid received a warm, nourishing hot meal during our holiday party. Together, we distributed 57 Holiday meal baskets to families, secured gifts for 230 individuals, and made sure every club kid received a special item from their personal wish list- bringing joy, dignity, and hope to the season.

Your support didn't just make holidays brighter, it ensured our kids felt seen, supported, and celebrated when it mattered most. Thank you for making moments like these possible.

Partner Highlight:

LB Charitable Foundation

We extend a heartfelt thanks to LB Charitable Foundation for their generous support in funding our holiday meal program. Their heartfelt generosity ensured that 390 club kids received hot meals during the holiday break.

Thanks to their kindness, our Club was filled with laughter, full belly's, and the joy that comes from knowing our kids are cared for and valued. Their support helped make the holiday season brighter and more meaningful for every child we serve, while helping us to reduce food insecurity when school is out.

Grant Spotlight

We are proud to share that the Boys & Girls Club of Vista has been selected as a 2025-2026 Minor Grant Beneficiary by Las Patronas, in support of our library renovation.

This generous investment will help create an updated, welcoming space where Club kids can read, learn, and explore- strengthening literacy, academic success, and a lifelong love of learning. The renovated library will serve as a critical resource for hundreds of youths each year, providing a safe and inspiring environment to grow both inside and outside the classroom.

We are deeply grateful to Las Patronas for believing in our mission and for their continued commitment to strengthening our community through philanthropy.
