Board and Volunteer Training

Ashley with 5 Stone Consulting came up from Texas this past weekend to meet with and train our volunteers and Board of Directors.

The coaching and resources Ashley provided are priceless. We are so thankful for her knowledge and guidance!

We owe a HUGE THANK YOU to Harvest Baptist Church! They fed all our volunteers an absolutely DELICIOUS meal during training on Friday night!

Meet Board Vice President, Sarah Taylor

My husband, Wade, and I have lived in Watertown for the last 17 years. We have 4 children - Elijah, Tovia, Josiah, and Ada, and we are in the process of international adoption to add a 5^th child to our family. I work as a registered nurse in the Maternal Child Health department at our local hospital. I have had a heart to protect the pre-born as early as I can remember hearing that there was such thing as abortion. It's impossible for me after learning about the formation of a human being to be blind to what society is trying to normalize. Many people just don't know the truth. Word and we are commanded to love the Lord our God with all our heart and to love our neighbor as ourselves.This passion drives me to advocate on behalf of all those who cannot do so for themselves. I want to help protect and care for those who do not have a voice of their own. My heart is not only for the baby, but for the mother carrying the child and for her support system. My heart is also to help those who have made a decision that they need to heal from. My desire to see a pregnancy center in Watertown is to see the church body caring for those in need. This is a tangible way for us to be the hands and feet of Christ to provide for physical and spiritual needs. Haven Center is meant to be a place of help, hope, and healing and I am excited about that! I am so glad that there is a place we can provide that can present truth and provide hope. .
