New Year, New Coordinators!

Now the LORD said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.

Greetings Ministry Partner,

Praise God for this year 2024! We started with the addition of 12 new coordinators! Thank you to CCI President, Dr. David Nelson, Vice President Pastor Glenn Kurka, and all donors and supporters who have been instrumental in expanding the ministry in Thailand and furthering the Kingdom of God.

To equip the new coordinators, we organized a training session on being a coordinator and facilitator. We spent 4 days together learning and training on the goals, vision, and values of the CCI organization, as well as the role of the coordinators, their responsibilities, and what they are expected to do.

Praise God, we have been strengthened by our time together. This time, the purpose was to expand the kingdom of God. We, therefore, thought of this year's motto for 2024 as having the same goal: to “expand forward.” Thailand has received the Good News of Jesus for nearly 200 years, but the number of believers still hasn't increased as much as it should. Less than 1% of the total population of 70 million believes. Missionary organizations, various Christian agencies, and sects are striving to increase the number of believers in Thailand, including the development of leaders in the country. However, it still hasn't gone as well as it should. Our thoughts and actions must be based on the truth of God's Word, teaching the Word and transforming lives to be like Jesus Christ. Training these individuals will equip them to be true disciples ready to bear fruit in God's mission. Throughout history, as illustrated in the Bible, Jesus made 12 disciples, Abraham obeyed God until God fulfilled His promise, and the apostolic age faithfully taught the Word and diligently served God.

And this is the reason that will be able to help change Thailand, causing many believers to arise, and those people will be strengthened into disciples who will continue to make more disciples.

We believe that by adding coordinators, we will be able to increase training and will definitely have more workers of God serving and expanding the work of God.

We also had the opportunity to cross the border into Burma with the purpose of promoting the CCI mission at the Bible Training Center. They are interested in accepting CCI's tools curriculum for training at this location. Students here come from many ethnic groups in both Burma and Laos.

Because this place is the contact zone between three countries – Thailand, Burma, and Laos – which we call the Golden Triangle, may God open the doors and expand CCI's ministry to come here as well.

This month I had the opportunity to share God's Financial Principles (GFP) with 12 graduating students. These 12 individuals had a graduation ceremony at a local church in the northern region. All of them are leaders from 3 churches, and they are enthusiastic and seek non-institutionalized training. The CCI training allows them to grow in confidence and serve God effectively according to the local church where they reside. They were filled with joy and excitement and were ready to go out on God's mission with confidence to glorify God and expand His kingdom together.

Please join me in praying for me and the pastors and students that we will continue to be faithful in this ministry and that we will definitely see the Kingdom of God established in this community.

Testimony

Panupong Phutthawarin is the leader of Ban Khai Evangelical Center and was the first in his family to believe in God. After receiving Bible training, he struggled with confidence in sharing God's Word until discovering the CCI curriculum recommended by Rev. Apichat, CCI's Northern Thailand's Eastern Region Area Coordinator. Through studying the curriculum with others, Panupong's understanding of the Bible has increased, leading to increased blessings and confidence in evangelizing and sharing God's Word. He is grateful to the CCI and all the coordinators for their support.
