You Can't Do That at Work! - Nevada Anti-harassment Training

This brand new course, developed in-house and released for 2023, features all new content, scenarios, and is our most interactive course we've developed yet. This course is about 20 minutes long.

Asbestos Awareness

This brand new course rebuilt from the ground up in an e-book-style format allows you to progress at your own pace, with no narration. It utilizes our new responsive format that reacts more like an e-book than a video. Essential for any maintenance workers or public works staff, this course covers the basics of Asbestos Awareness. This course is about 15 minutes.

HIPAA Privacy Rule

This course is brand new as well, and like the Asbestos Course, is developed as more of an interactive e-book than a static video you just watch. It includes interactions and delves into HIPAA Compliance. This course is about 15 minutes long.

GHS Hazard Communication

This brand new course is presented in a shortened video format, dramatically reducing the timing of the course from 30 minutes to roughly 13 minutes, yet still features the same essential information on hazard communication and the GHS specification.

Food Handling and Safety Series

A brand new Food Handling and Safety Series of courses has been added to Absorb to replace the older food safety courses we added a few years back. All but one of the courses are from eFoodHandlers, and the Food Service Safety course is from Southern Nevada Health District. These link to YouTube videos, and play seamlessly in Absorb as if they were standalone videos.

Food Safety Series:

Food Service Equipment

Food Service Safety

Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points

Preventing Food Contamination

Safe Temperatures for Food Storage

Food Safety Series - Sanitation Safety

Wellness Series:

This series of courses address stress in the workplace, a real, chronic condition in this country that leads to health problems, poor work performance and increased absenteeism. Each course is named with a 'Wellness Series ' prefix to identify it's part of this series:

7 Strategies to Tame Stress

Stress is inevitable, yet many of us struggle to cope effectively when we encounter stressful situations. We resort to unhealthy outlets like procrastinating or overeating—typically making our problems worse. Most of us know that managing stress in a healthy way benefits our well-being, relationships, job performance, and more. But how do we get there? In this course, you’ll learn to tame stress by first understanding the difference between healthy and unhealthy coping strategies. Then, you’ll learn seven effective techniques that can help you relieve stress and regain control.

Beating Burnout - Spot the Symptoms, Take Action

Would you describe yourself as a workaholic, perfectionist, or high achiever? Do you skip breaks and vacations—or struggle to “switch off” at the end of the workday? Do you suffer from chronic stress? If you answered 'yes' to any of these questions, then you may be at risk for burnout. In this course, you’ll learn what burnout is and how it negatively impacts your health and performance. You’ll also learn how to spot the warning signs of burnout and reverse its effects.

Creating a Wellness Program for your Organization

Why is good employee health critical to your organization, and how do you protect everyone’s mental, physical, and emotional well-being? In this course, we’ll guide you through each step of the creation process to equip you with all the necessary tools for a successful employee wellness program. By the end, you’ll walk away with a solid grasp of the strategies behind a comprehensive approach to workplace well-being—and why they work.

Managing Stress with Diet and Activities

This course will introduce you to ways you can control stress and brain function with a well-rounded diet and activities, and what foods affect stress and reduce stress.

The Big Five

When you get a physical that includes bloodwork/lab work, you'll get results back from the lab. Although your physician/healthcare provider will often explain what this means, it never hurts to dive in and understand what HDL is, what LDL is, along with triglycerides and glucose levels. Although designed for first responders, this course really applies to anyone who's interested in learning what the big five indicators are of how healthy you truly are internally.

- PLUS -

Forklift Training

This course serves as refresher training on the essentials of operating a Forklift and being aware of your surroundings as you do so. It's not meant to replace physical in-person practical training that OSHA also requires your employer do.

COVID19 - The Fight Continues

This course is an updated-for-2022-2023 course on COVID-19. Updated for the post-vaccine era, we’ll review what we know so far about the virus, and what we’re learning. Then, you’ll get a glimpse at available efforts to stop COVID-19, how the virus is fighting back with new variants - and what you can do about it.

Earthquake Preparedness

Nevada ranks 3rd in the nation for earthquake activity. This course will cover how to be prepared in the workplace and at home, prior to an earthquake, and what to do during and after an earthquake. Designed as part of this year's National Great Shakeout, this new updated course is full of fascinating Nevada-specific earthquake statistics, has a timeline of Nevada quakes along with historic photos, and provides great tips on what to do in an earthquake. Presented in our popular e-book format, this course reads more like a book than a video.

OSHA Record Keeping

Most employers with more than 10 employees are required to keep a record of serious work-related injuries and illnesses. This new course covers all the requirements from OSHA, and includes an assessment.
