A MESSAGE FROM EC-COUNCIL:

How Cyber Threat Intelligence Makes a HUGE IMPACT

Cyber threat intelligence allows organizations to understand the threats they are most likely to face. Of course, the number of possible threats is infinite and it is not possible to prevent all breaches. Enterprises can only prepare to a certain level due to limited funds and team size. So, how do security teams make the most of their time, manpower and funding?

The answer lies in threat intelligence.

The most common questions that a Cyber Threat Intelligence team addresses for an organization are:

  • What are the most relevant and critical threats pertaining to your industry and your organization?
  • Who is likely to attack you?
  • What types of assets are likely to be targeted?
  • What lessons learned from previous incidents can help to improve proactive protection?

Therefore, cyber threat intelligence is one of the most critical aspects of a security program because it looks beyond active defense but has the goal of actively mitigating the largest number of cyber threats possible.
A sneak peek into the Certified Threat Intelligence Analyst (C|TIA) program

Threat intelligence touches many aspects of security operations (including pen testing, app sec, SOC to name a few) and maps out the threat landscape of a given organization.

The C|TIA program provides the predictive capabilities that allow management to make decisions based on historical precedent rather than intuition.

Perhaps the most fundamental goal of any cyber security program is to prevent and mitigate the risk of cyber threats. The C|TIA program equips security teams with the tools to do exactly that. The program is a perfect blend of theory and practical training that enables the threat intelligence team to identify common and most likely threats pertaining to the organization.

This certification program is designed for enterprises and cybersecurity professionals who understand the importance of active defense.
