🎆Happy New Year! 🎆

Universal Preschool Colorado

Universal Preschool, otherwise known as UPK, in Colorado allows families to choose the preschool setting they want for their child. UPK ensures that every child who is in the year before kindergarten eligibility can participate in state-funded, voluntary preschool for the 2023-24 school year. The family application process is now open, and Wild Plum Center has had a successful week of enrollment for returning families that are continuing with us next school year!

Children that are in the year before they are eligible for kindergarten and qualifying 3-year-olds can apply today through February 14th for UPK Colorado for the 2023-24 school year. Click the button below!

We Bought an RV!

Remember our noble "mobile" cause?

Through contributions like yours, we were able to purchase a state-of-the-art RV! We are thrilled to be moving forward with retrofitting this vehicle that will become our Mobile Classroom. While we are already serving hundreds of students in the classroom or through our home-based program, a mobile classroom will expand our exemplary programming to meet the needs of the most vulnerable families in our community by visiting their neighborhood. No transportation required.

Thanks in part to Mile High United Way and the City of Longmont, we are able to make a larger impact than ever before and take our classroom wherever the road may lead us in 2023.

Conscious Discipline Parent Nights

We are excited to be continuing our free and virtual parenting classes for our Wild Plum families and community members. Presented by the Wild Plum Center and our Mental Health Consultant, sponsored by Mile High United Way, these classes are offered on zoom in both English and Spanish on the second Tuesday of each month.

Thank you to all who have joined so far!

You can learn more about the Conscious Discipline curriculum here.

Our next Parent Night is on 2/14 at 6:00pm, where we will visit the Power of Choice and Free Will. We hope to see you there! Click the link below to join the virtual meeting.
