New Year, new possibilities: Embracing the opportunities ahead

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and are as excited as I am for the opportunities and possibilities that the new year brings. As we turn the page on a new year, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to continue serving as your representative on the Board of County Commissioners.

Tomorrow is the opening day of the Colorado State Legislature, and I am excited to welcome and congratulate all the newly elected senators and representatives that will be sworn into office, especially Senator-elect Lindsey Daugherty, who will become your new District 19 Senator. I have officially turned over the reigns to Senator-elect Daugherty and I wish her all the best in her new position.

I am eager to get started in my new role as well. The swearing-in ceremony for the Board of County Commissioners will take place on Tuesday, January 14 at 8 am in the main board room at the Jefferson County Administration building, with a reception to follow in the Faye Griffin Room. Both events are open to the public, so perhaps I will see you there.

Thank you for your continued trust and support. I look forward to working with you to make this year one of progress and prosperity for our community. As always, my door is open to your concerns, ideas, and feedback (metaphorically speaking, as I have yet to move into my office). I'm grateful for the privilege of serving you and am eager to tackle the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. Here's to a successful and fulfilling new year for us all!
