Mommy Loves You written and illustrated by Lois Kim
A Testament to a Mother's Love
No matter why, or where, or for how long a mommy might have to leave, every child should always know: Mommy Loves You!

Author and illustrator Lois Kim has always turned to drawing as a source of comfort, even as a child herself. During her incarceration at the Women’s Community Correctional Center in Kailua, her passion for art became a lifeline. Creating Mommy Loves You gave her an outlet to combat her loneliness and a way to tell her children that her absence was not their fault, and that her love for them, above all things, endured.

The question is, do you deal with your challenges in a positive way? What’s more, can you help others deal with their challenges in a positive way? In direct, simple terms, author Rusty Komori lays out a path for achievement and excellence in leadership, drawing from notable examples in sports history, as well as his own decades as a successful, championship-winning tennis coach.

Dangerous Woman by Frances Kakugawa
Age Does Not Define Us. Life Does.
We are the dangerous women...
Who never say no to sunsets, sunrises,
Evening strolls or double martinis.

We are the women you should avoid
If you don’t believe in Peter Pan,
And the first star of the evening skies.

But pour us wine as the sun sets low,
And we will hand you the key
To things you don’t know.

In this, her fourteenth book, Frances H. Kakugawa assembles a collection of poetry spanning sixty years—previously published works and new poems, grappling with answers to life’s existential questions, the need to understand our relationship with nature and the world beyond the self.

Local Boy by Fred Hemmings
A Man of Hawai‘i
Growing up local in the Hawaiian Islands, Fred Hemmings experienced Hawai‘i from the outside breaks of O‘ahu’s North Shore to the inner workings of state government. In Local Boy, the veteran waterman offers his own unique view of the Islands—the big surf, the changing times and the memorable adventures with friend and role model Duke Kahanamoku.
