6 Ways to Save More Money in the New Year
Even if saving has never been your thing and money is tight, the coming of a new year is an opportunity to change old financial habits. Here are some ways to become a more efficient saver.

1. Budget
Budgeting helps you organize your finances so you have money left over to save each month. It may seem laborious, but budgeting doesn't have to be hard. Mobile apps like MoneyMobile cut a lot of the work and can help you track spending throughout the month.

2. Pay yourself first
Firmly commit to making a savings deposit monthly, even if you can only afford a small amount. Do this before paying your other bills.

3. Automate
If you're not confident your resolution will stick or you want...

Jan. 1: New Years Day
(CU CLOSED)

Jan. 2: CU CLOSED

Jan. 18: Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Jan. 25: Opposite Day

Jan 28: National Fun at Work Day
Bay Area Women's Center - Wildly Gourmet Dinner & Wine Tasting
We are incredibly happy to once again be a sponsor of this year's Wildly Gourmet Dinner & Wine Tasting put on by the Bay Area Women's Center.

Bay Area Women’s Center was founded in 1975 by a small group of concerned women in Bay County. Since that time, BAWC has grown considerably both in the number of people served and types of programs offered. The center serves both men and women, along with their children. Services are targeted in Bay and Arenac counties; however, people from throughout mid-Michigan and beyond take refuge at their facility. To-date, BAWC has served over 15,000 men, women and children who have sought safety and shelter.
Salvation Army Challenge
This year Frankenmuth Credit Union has challenged each of the Mid Michigan Credit Unions to donate $1,000 to the Salvation Army in their county. We are proud to say that we are one of the many Credit Unions that have accepted this challenge.

We will be presenting our check to the Salvation Army on the air on WSGW - Date is still to be announced.
