Dear Student,

.

The calendar has turned and I hope you are well and suriving this "old winter" weather.

This time of year often carries the message to hit the ground running. Yet many of us notice that our bodies are asking for something different than they did ten or twenty years ago.

New Year New You?

“We cannot live the afternoon of life according to the program of life’s morning.”

— Carl Jung

There’s a familiar kind of confusion when the mental push for a “New You” meets the physical reality of a body that feels stiff, unreliable, or slower to recover. That sudden catch in your lower back or the ongoing tightness in your hips isn’t a failure of willpower. It’s information.

Earlier in life, momentum often came from sheer capacity. We could do more, push harder, recover faster, and adjust on the fly. Effort worked, even when it was inefficient.

However, over time, many of us begin to value a more refined kind of growth, one that emphasizes efficiency, clarity, and sustainability rather than effort alone. our evolution here is reflective of that.

I’ve shared a more in depth reflection on my website blog for those interested in how this perspective may better support healthy aging through wiser, more sustainable movement.

Private Sessions

Private sessions are also available for those who want individualized attention for specific or ongoing concerns.

More about this can be found by clicking here and here.

You can contact me with any questions,

or for a free consultation to learn more about this approach and its innovative methods to enhance your movement, comfort, and well-being.

As each new year begins, familiar and unfamiliar challenges often ask us to adjust and evolve.

The invitation here is not to push for change, but to listen more carefully to what experience is already showing us.

Subtle shifts in attention and intention can support movement that feels more reliable, and a relationship with change that’s steadier and less strained.

This is the spirit shaping the work ahead, and I look forward to exploring it together in the months to come.

Namaste,

Alan
