New Year's Eve celebrations
Before you start your new year resolutions on January 1st, don't forget to celebrate and enjoy New Year's Eve! We have tons of fun events and activities for the holiday, so be sure to check out our New Year's Eve Events blog for all the information you need!
New Year's resolutions
At the start of the year, people make resolutions, a commitment to trying something new or doing something different. Resolutions aren't always easy to come up with, so if you are looking to make a change this new year, be sure to check out our New Year's Resolutions blog for some great ideas.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day
On January 16th, we honor Martin Luther King, Jr. and the activism he embodied during the Civil Rights Movement. In celebrating and recognizing Dr. King's work and life of service, you can participate in your own Day of Service on the 16th. Sand Ridge Nature Center in South Holland will be holding a self-led litter pick up, and the Village of Flossmoor has a list of 15 volunteer projects you can register for.
