With the dawn of 2025, we are filled with hope for what lies ahead. This year, our New Year's Resolution is to become even more committed to our mission of empowering Greater Price Hill families to attain their educational, financial, and health goals. With your support, we know we can help them achieve even greater things!

Christmas Wishes

After receiving so many generous toy and gift donations, we were able to spread a tremendous amount of cheer at our Holiday Party last month. From meeting those of you who kindly came out to donate a toy, to seeing the joyful faces of those of you whose Christmas wishes came true, we enjoyed every moment of this fantastic holiday collaboration!

Free Income Tax Prep Volunteers Still Needed | |

Santa Maria and United Way of Greater Cincinnati are recruiting volunteers for our annual tax prep program at Elder High School, which includes assisting individuals and families who have limited resources in filing their personal income tax returns. The Elder High School site is part of a highly impactful poverty-reduction program that generated savings and refunds totaling more than $11.5 million for taxpayers across the region just last year!
Volunteers can serve individually or in corporate groups as greeters, screeners, tax preparers, or reviewers at Elder High School on Saturdays from February 1st through April 12th. No expertise or experience is needed, but free training is provided and required! Visit UWGC.org/tax-volunteer for more information.

Santa Maria Community Services is pleased to announce its receipt of thirteen generous grants supporting its programs and services during the fourth quarter of 2024.
- CPPS Heritage Mission Fund awarded $30,000 for the Supportive Services program.
- Cincy-Cinco awarded $2,500 for the Wellness program and Health Fairs.
- Crosset Family Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation awarded $10,000 for the Youth program.
- Charles H. Dater Foundation Inc. awarded $75,000 for the Youth program.
- Fifth Third Bank awarded $9,750 for the Financial Literacy program.
- Galvin Family Fund Quasi-Endowment awarded $15,000 for the Wellness program.
- The Andrew Jergens Foundation awarded $15,000 for the Youth program.
- KeyBank Foundation awarded $50,000 for the Stable Families program.
- L & L Nippert Charitable Foundation awarded $30,000 for the ESL program.
- Ohio Children’s Foundation awarded $10,000 for the Promoting Our Preschoolers program.
- PNC Foundation awarded $10,000 for the Supportive Services program.
- PNC Foundation’s Grow Up Great awarded $25,000 for the Promoting Our Preschoolers program.
- Sutphin Family Foundation awarded $25,000 for the Supportive Services program.
These impactful grants will help Santa Maria Community Services continue to make lasting change.

Last month, we had an awesome opportunity to partner with Kendra Scott at the Kenwood Mall to benefit Santa Maria. The total donation came to $930.86 from just one evening of proceeds! We'd like to thank everyone who shopped in-store or online to participate, and we hope that your sparkly purchases were just as beautiful as the smiles that their donations will help create here in Price Hill!
