Empowering Parent Mentors: Building Mental Health Awareness in Our Community

As part of POC's Parent Mentor Program (PMP) goals to better support our community, PMP Organizer Addy and PMP Coordinator Gloria attended a Mental Health First Aid training to get certified by the National Council for Behavioral Health. While they're not professionals, this training prepares PMP leadership to recognize and respond to mental health challenges effectively and bring this knowledge to the Parent Mentors through weekly workshops.

Appreciation Spotlight!

Giving Warmth: How Our Generous Donors are

Transforming Lives Through Clothing

Thank you to Teft Middle School for blessing POC's Ascension Hanover Park clothing closet with donations from U46's clothing and coat drive. School administrators, students, and their families kindly thought of others, and the families genuinely appreciated the warm winter coats, sweaters, scarves, and hats.

If you want to donate new or clean and gently used clothing to the Hanover Park location, call us at 847-847-4475.

With Gratitude:

You Helped Us Build a Stronger Community

Thank you to everyone who generously donated to help us reach our goal! Your kindness allows us to do more than provide essential services.

YOU empower us to create a space where people facing hardships find a valuable support network and a community that feels like home.
