Wishing you and yours a very Happy New Year! Here's to 2026.

Don't Hibernate, Celebrate!

Blowing Rock WinterFest 2026, presented by Hendrick Automotive Group, is upon us, so grab your warmest coat and head to Blowing Rock to celebrate. Whether it's savoring samplings from our most famous restaurants, tasting local brews from our breweries, strolling downtown and admiring the ice sculptures, or signing your family dog up for a dog show, there is so much winter fun.

Experience amazing artisans from juxtaposing backgrounds in Memorial Park on Saturday, January 24th. As a part of WinterFest, a metal pour and our yearly ice carving demonstration will be happening simultaneously for an entirely new Fire & Ice Exhibition. WNC Sculpture Center and Artisan Ice Sculptures will be showing off how sculptures are made in their opposite mediums.

Book Your WinterFest Stay Today

Book your stay with one of the WinterFest Lodging Partners! They are all located downtown and within walking distance of the festivities. They offer varied atmospheres and will suit all different preferences.

Chetola Resort is a beautifully sprawling resort with a lake. They are hosting several events this year and are a great place for anyone to stay. Meadowbrook Inn is one of our larger hotels and can accommodate multi-generational families. The Embers is a more upscale stay in the middle of all the action. The Homestead Inn and cottages is a local family run inn with homey appointments and plenty of character. The Blowing Rock Inn is a nostalgic motor inn perfect for couples.

'Tis the season for playing in the snow! What better way to play than to enjoy all the High Country has to offer. We've got skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, tubing, skating, and much more!

Blowing Rock's own Appalachian Ski Mountain is open and ready to welcome you! Don't miss special events at App Ski Mountain all season.
