Annual Meeting 1.15.2023

in the Hall following the 10 am service

Saint Matthew's! Our 2023 Annual Meeting will take place following Sunday service next Sunday, January 15th.

Here are few things to keep in mind:

The Parish Office in the person of Audrey Cronin will share the document for the Annual Meeting this coming week;
If you are responsible for preparing a report for that document and have not yet done so, please have the document to the Office by Tuesday, January 10;
Our parish is great at potluck gatherings! If you will, prepare a dish and bring it with you on Sunday morning the 15th. We will feast as we meet! Thank you;
As our guest speaker this year, we are delighted to welcome Maria Ravelli of Worcester Community Fridges.

Bishop Doug Fisher's annual visit to our parish.

Our Community Fridge will soon be a reality. Keep watching and listening! Your assistance in keeping the fridge stocked will be important once it is is place and open! Thank you.

Communion Bread

Our communion bread next Sunday, January 15, will be home-baked. Thank you to Doug Borowski for starting us off from his home oven. Our intention is to prepare, bless, and consume our own bread for eucharist in days to come.

Families and individuals will be needed to fill out a schedule for baking. What a marvelous way to be directly involved in bringing the Bread of Heaven to the lives of your fellow parishioners and our visitors! The menu will be provided.

On the Death of James McGinty, Father John's younger brother

Dear Friends,

I am filled with gratitude for the expressions of sympathy and promises of prayer that have followed the news at Christmas of the sudden death of my brother, Jim. His five wonderful children, and their Mom, will continue to need your support in prayer.

I want to share here a link to Jim's obituary online. There is information there about the funeral Mass this coming Friday at 11 am and also the opportunity to leave a note of condolence if you want. There is no expectation, of course, of anyone's presence for the funeral, but do know that you are so welcome should you desire to attend and pray with us that day.
