"love that movement".. I now speak Beginner Level Watch! Loved the guest who collects watches & cars.. now I just need to learn Beginner Level Car!!

Inspiration for the New Year |

2022 was a year of great personal growth.. and lots of lessons learned. Hope I remember them in 2023!
I've been thumbing through some back issues of Vogue Entertaining & Travel and apart from a Tag Heuer ad (watches again!) featuring a young Boris Becker, the content is as fresh and inspirational as ever.
Between those and requests by some of our guests, we have a tonne of new ideas for 2023!

My New Year resolution is usually to go to bed earlier, clear up my 4th bedroom and Office/Storeroom.. maybe this will be the year?!

Tucked away in Pulau Tikus is a fascinating Hokkien enclave where the residents still practise many customs forgotten by their city cousins. See the making of CNY must-haves including Thni Kuih (a sticky toffee-like treat) & Huat Kuih (Prosperity buns).

It's a great one to do if you have visitors.. and depending on the mix of guests (visitors vs residents) we can include elements of our Essential George Town Trishaw Trail too.
Enjoy a leisurely morning around George Town as we hop in our trishaws to visit some of the traditional trades of Penang. From the Chinese seal maker, to the fishing net man, to the basket weaver and signboard maker, come and see these "dying trades" before the skills are lost.

Departing from the Botanic Garden we take Jeeps to The Habitat where our guides will point out the animals and birds who settle down as dusk falls.
After a break for dinner we return to Curtis Crest to enjoy sunset (weather permitting)!
As the night deepens we will meet the frogs, reptiles and other creatures that come out in the dark! And finally, we will take the Jeeps back down the Hill.
