Pet Evac Pak

Pet Emergency Preparedness

Welcome to Pet Evac Pak's first newsletter.

We are a women veteran owned business and our passion for pets drives who we are and what we do. Our main priority is to help you keep your pet safe in any emergency.

All our Pet Emergency Kits were designed with pets in mind and we use products recommended by rescues, veterinarians, FEMA and first responders. But what sets us apart is we use products designed specifically for pets.

We want to help you make-a-plan and have a go-bag for your pet ready should you need to evacuate for any emergency. Our paks are great to throw in your car when your traveling as well.

Make 2022 the year you make an emergency plan for your pets!

Build Your Own Kit is HERE!

How big is your pack?  We are here to help you customize your pack for your pets. Remember it’s not just about our dogs and cats, all pets and critters need water so make sure you have plenty.

Our custom pack page will walk you through the “must-haves” for your pack. Start with a carrier – if you already have one, select the “No Carrier” option; otherwise, click on the down arrow and select the carrier of your choice. The next category will be food – again make your selection of either “No Food” or the cat or dog food of your choice. Don’t miss the notes at the top of each category for recommendations. Follow the arrows for each category and at the end, you will have the option to make any adjustments.

Blog - A Year in Review

In 2021 we sure had lots of time to spend on the internet. We can’t forget the Bernie meme wearing the mittens that went viral, including Bernie helping sell Pet Evac Pak’s on social media. Then let’s not forget about the 13 year old pug by the name of Noodle that would let us know if it was a bones or no bones day. So much to laugh about. Read more

Pet Safety Tip

January is typically the coldest month of the year. Some of our outdoor pets and/or critters could be looking for a warm place to rest.

Each year many animals are injured or even killed when we start up our cold cars to warm them up. It's advised to honk the horn or bang on the hood to wake them up and hopefully scare them from under your vehicle.

We live in Northern Nevada where we don't see to many outdoor cats or they become dinner for the local coyotes. Best advise is during these colder months to keep them indoors to keep them safe.

Recalls & safety alerts

Worried about recalls and or safety alerts for your pets? The American Veterinary Medical Association (avma) has a great website that lists all the current safety alerts and recalls for pet foods and products.

When pet foods or animal-related products are recalled, or alerts are issued about safety concerns, you need to know asap. We update our information as soon as we receive notification and can verify that the recall/alert is real. Follow our @AVMARecallWatch Twitter Feed to stay informed (no Twitter profile is necessary to view the feed). Recalls and alerts are also posted on our Facebook page.
