|We hope you are all having a wonderful holiday season! Here are some updates regarding the upcoming tax season:
- Those long-favored tax breaks were finally signed into law last week, making many of them permanent and others extended retroactively for 2015. For almost all of our clients, the benefits of these extenders were factored into our year-end planning assessments, based on our analysis of the likelihood of passage.
- The IRS announced that tax season will begin as scheduled on Tuesday, January 19, 2016. The IRS will not accept e-filed returns or process paper returns before that date.
- Our office will begin sending out ORGANIZERS during the week of January 18. Because they are populated with sensitive information, the best way to receive and send Organizers is by CLIENT PORTAL. Directions will be forthcoming, but if you have questions about your portal, please contact Katie at Katie@bouldercpas.com.
- We are excited about the changes we're making for the new year to serve you better, including several new staff members. More info to come in January!
There is still time to claim your deduction for 2015 tax prep fees - if you owe these fees, please pay your invoice by the end of the year.
Our office will be closed on Thursday, December 31 and Friday, January 1.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
