One week into 2020, how is the new year treating you?
In some ways my year is getting off to a fabulous start. I'm sticking to my goals for the most part. For instance, first thing this morning I journaled to freshen up my mind and discard my worries. Then I worked on a new manuscript.
When the gray clouds finally lightened, I bundled up, and with my credit card in pocket, walked for 30 minutes to our local mercantile store. I checked the hourly weather forecast first and managed to avoid the showers. My thinking was: I could exercise and shop at the same time. Multi-tasking!

One of my goals is to take a photo on all my walks. |
But in other ways, the year is slogging along. As many of you may know I lost my brother in December, plus a dear friend. I'm afraid no amount of goal setting could have changed these sad outcomes. Sometimes, life is hard.
One of my main complaints that I do have power over is I never seem to have enough time for writing. If I continue my new manuscript at this snail-like pace I won't be finished until the end of the year. Unacceptable! How and when can I carve out time to write and keep up with everything else? I've done it before, I keep telling myself, so press onward!
I wish I could hear all of your many goals for the coming year. I hope one of them is to enter this giveaway! I'm celebrating the fact An Amish Christmas Kitchen was on the bestsellers list for two months. Yay! Am I satisfied? No, just hankering for another bestseller.
US and Canada only. Winner has three days to respond. Good luck to all who enter!
