FAIRNESS IN 2026
Appellate Court Justice Segal said, "this is the most unfair, discriminatory rent stabilization board that I have ever seen". We are continuing to fight for fair representation on the Rental Housing Board. Our recent survey shows that 80 percent of Pasadena's voters agree that there should be an equal number of tenants and landlords on the Board.
Our November 2026 ballot measure will:
- Create a fair rent board with equal number of tenants and landlords
- Promote the rental of single-family housing left empty because of Measure H's overreach
- Cap rent registry fees to halt unconstrained spending
- Improve accountability and reduce bureaucracy by merging the redundant and wasteful Rent Stabilization Depart into the pre-existing Pasadena Housing Department.
- Retain protections for tenants around rent increases and unfair evictions.
Please contribute to our fund. $10 per unit per month will pay for the legal and political expertise we need to restore fairness and reasonable policies to Pasadena.
