Cornwall Public Library Newsletter - January 2024

From the

Director's Desk...

Oh, my! I can't believe January 2024 is already here! I'm still glad to be back in the Library building, and I'm still hoping that you will visit us, soon, if you haven't already!

Here are some incentives to visit:

On January 2nd our Midday Matinee (noon start time) will feature Barbie. I'm curious, are you? I wish I could take the time off to see it. A new Art Exhibit is opening on January 11 at 4 PM. It is "A Picture Book Deconstructed." That's all I'll say. Come in to see for yourself! On January 19th "Baby & Me" is making a comeback. Sign up in advance for one of the two time slots. My last plug is for Chess Time on January 20 from 11-12. This one's for all ages and playing levels.

There are other things, too, check out our calendar at https://www.cornwallpubliclibrary.org/calendar/ !

So, you see there's lots to do here, besides browsing books. Come join us, there's something for just about everyone!

Have you ever looked at a picture book and wondered how it came to be? This exhibition presents a unique opportunity to see the original artwork of a picture book for children, and all who share a love and respect for nature, side-by-side with the art in published form. It is a chance for the viewer to experience how images, along with text, become transformed and integrated to tell a story.
