We Want to Help You Reap the Benefits of Being Associated with the Glendale Chamber
A national survey reveals that being active in a local chamber of commerce is an effective business strategy because two-thirds of consumers believe that such companies use good business practices, are reputable, care about their customers, and are involved in the community.

Being a member of your local Chamber of Commerce should make you PROUD! You are investing back in your business community and therefore being identified as a more reputable business by consumers. To help you reap the benefits of association, the Glendale Chamber has designed a Proud Member logo to use however you’d like! You can pick up a decal from the Chamber office to display in your window, you can share the digital version on your website or social media accounts and you can even incorporate it into your own collateral (i.e. flyers, business cards, emails).

An all-vegan grocery store and an all-vegan Mexican restaurant have opened in the last year, and a vegan food truck is on the way.

Other restaurants are stepping up to the plate by adding more vegan options too — even downtown's ice cream parlor."

How to Prevent the Flu from Abrazo
It’s nice to give gifts to family members and friends. They appreciate your thoughtfulness and you feel good about sharing your time, talents and efforts with loved ones. But there is one “gift” that is best not given to others, although it is sometimes unwittingly passed along – the flu.

Influenza, also known as the flu, is a contagious virus that can cause severe illness and even life-threatening complications. Flu viruses can cause high fever, headache, fatigue, dry cough, sore throat, runny nose, and body aches. Complications may include bacterial pneumonia, dehydration, and aggravation of chronic medical conditions, such as congestive heart failure, asthma or diabetes. The flu spreads when an infected person coughs, sneezes or speaks, and the virus goes into the air and other people inhale it.

Abrazo: 30 Years of Caring for Our
Northwest Valley Neighbors
When the doors to what is now known as the Abrazo Arrowhead Campus opened at 7 a.m. on October 17, 1988, the dream of a community hospital serving the new Arrowhead Ranch area became a reality. In those early days our service area encompassed a five mile radius of the hospital’s location near 67 th Avenue and Union Hills. As the Northwest Valley grew, so did the capabilities and service area of our hospital, which today offers treatments and technology only dreamed of 30 years ago.

The hard-working team of physicians, nurses, support staff and other caregivers at Abrazo Arrowhead Campus continue the legacy of the original staff at Arrowhead Community Hospital. That 84-bed hospital has grown to 217 beds, but that’s only part of the story. Healthcare has transformed to include much more education and prevention, and now surgery often is minimally invasive, meaning shorter hospital stays and a quicker return to recovery.
