"Sybil is seventy-three years old, in the winter of her life. Sybil has always made sense of the world through writing letters and through this epistolary novel we see how she comes to terms with her past and present and learns forgiveness"

"When a body is found in a bog in northwest England, Agnes, an American forensic anthropologist, is called to investigate. But this body is not like any she's ever seen. Though its bones prove it was buried more than two thousand years ago, it is almost completely preserved."

Isolated and socially adrift in a new Hungarian town, fifteen-year-old Istvan forms a troubling bond with an older neighbor. Years later, ambition carries him from the army into the orbit of London's super-rich, where his hunger for love, power, and status brings vast wealth and the seeds of his own undoing.

A historical fiction novel about four suburban housewives in 1960s Virginia who form a book club to read Betty Friedan's The Feminine Mystique, sparking feminist awakenings, lasting friendships, and a journey of self-discovery as they challenge societal expectations.

Petra Rose, reeling from a viral backlash that derailed her career and drained her finances, retreats to a lakeside cabin to salvage her writing. When Detective Nathaniel Saint arrives with unsettling news, his presence rekindles her creativity, blurring the line between her fiction and the man inspiring it

A nonfiction book about the real-life survival story of Maurice and Maralyn Bailey, a British couple who were shipwrecked in the Pacific in 1972. After their boat was sunk by a whale, they spent 118 days adrift in a small rubber raft, facing extreme conditions that tested their marriage and pushed them to their limits.

CRAFTING WORKSHOPS

Love was in the air!

We had another successful crafting event at the library on the Saturday before Valentine's Day. Our creative leader, Trish Boissevain, provided beautiful materials and lots of inspiration. Participants also came loaded with inspiration. We are thrilled to offer these monthly opportunities to be creative and have some time just for you. You can read on below for information about our next crafting event. The workshops are free, but we welcome donations.
